Why didn’t he give this speech? This was mostly due to BP’s corner cutting, but the fact that they can’t clean it up should make even Republicans uncomfortable with offshore drilling.
This isn’t the most important thing to fix, but Maddow is half right. Either no new drilling until come up with new ways to drill safely, or at least fix MMS so that they can see who is cutting corners and punish them before they do further damage to far more than they have the right to.
